Dial-a-Poem Promo Sparks Call Deluge in New York
In New York a dial-a-poem promotion drew many misdirected calls to another business with a similar number. A switchboard operator, after several rings from people seeking the poem, told a boy the nursery rhyme lines then ended the call. The caller then pressed for a better performance.
