DAR honors good citizen winners in Santa Barbara area

Miss Donna Riley of Cabrillo High School won the district good citizen award at Captain Henry Sweetser Chapter DAR ceremonies in Santa Maria. She joins Marianne Wong of Lompoc High School as honored locals as the nationwide good citizen contest spans 14 districts with state and national winners to be announced in coming months.

VAFB Names Military Wife of the Year Nominees

Vivian R. Dew and Elizabeth H. Sarber win base nominations for 1974 Vandenberg Military Wife of the Year. Dew, wife of Major Raleigh E. Dew, active in base and Lompoc groups. Sarber, wife of TSgt John E. Sarber, led NCO Wives Club and community chapters. Both advance to higher commands.
