Teen motorcycle safety courses expand under state program

County approves 14 land rezoning cases in Central Santa Barbara region

The County Planning Commission on Wednesday approved 14 rezonings affecting preserved agricultural lands in the Lompoc Valley Santa Ynez Valley Buellton Sisquoc and Los Alamos areas. Most parcels move to 100 acre agricultural district status with one 92 acre parcel to 50 acres. Largest tracts include Sisquoc Ranch 37 184 acres and Lutons 13 098 acres north of Los Alamos. other properties listed include Abbondio Bazzi Buellton and Santa Ynez area lands.

Blood donors sought at Red Cross Bloodmobile visit

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will visit the Alpha Club on Ocean Avenue and B Street tomorrow from 4 30 to 6 30 p m for those who wish to donate blood. Thomas G Payne of 229 Amherst Drive calls for a Lompoc Vandenberg area model rocket club to link with the National Association of Rocketry. he has discussed launch area cooperation with local and base officials and seeks volunteers to help form the club. Reagan administration pledges no new taxes through 1971

California finance chief Caspar Weinberger told the California Chamber of Commerce that the state can balance budgets for 1969 70 and 1970 71 without new taxes. He warned against balancing one year and creating a larger deficit the next and urged abolishing special funds to free resources for the governor and legislature.
