Ransom Paid But Boy Found Frozen to Death in Woods
Lakewood New York police found 14 year old Daniel Ebersole frozen to death after he was abducted beaten and left tied to a pine tree in near zero weather. Three teenagers were charged with kidnapping and held on bonds while most of the ransom money was found at a suspect's home. An autopsy was ordered to determine cause of death. The body was found about 70 miles south of Buffalo after an anonymous tip. The suspects are Martin Whitmore 19 and Jeffrey Swan 18.
