Panel backs disbarment for Spiro Agnew
A three judge panel in Annapolis unanimously recommended disbarment for former Vice President Spiro T. Agnew. The panel found he deliberately failed to report nearly $30,000 of taxable income on his 1967 federal return. Agnew pleaded no contest to tax evasion and resigned the vice presidency on Oct 10.
