County Cagers Begin Season With Eight Teams

The Santa Barbara County League opens tonight with eight teams and a 56 game schedule. KNEZ will broadcast Lompoc games and KLOM will carry Cabrillo action. Lompoc, which may have two new players, starts the run.

UCLA coach John Wooden says the Pacific-8 title winner will likely lose at least one game as his No. 1 Bruins begin league play against Washington after a 9-0 start and a 106-82 win over Dayton.
