Allan Hancock Pavilion hosted a tightly contested championship as the Bulldogs edge Foothill 47 46 to claim the 1972 Hancock Holiday Tournament. Mike Kluge missed a late free throw but Dave Cumberland intercepted the final pass to seal the victory. Cumberland led Hancock with 15 points, Mike Jones added 11, and Foothill guard Mike Roman scored 18 to earn MVP honors.
