The Pentagon said U S bombs may have caused limited accidental damage to the Bach Mai hospital and Gia Lam airport in Hanoi. Spokesman Jerry W Friedheim noted uncertainty over the damage and its cause while denying reports that the hospital was destroyed.

Four members of the Carry Nation liquor squad raided the Orange Bowl press box seizing two cases of whisky and two cases of beer. Burglar-proof Safe From 1964 Bank Draws Interest
Asheboro North Carolina UPI reports Jake Newton found a battered four foot high safe in an old bank building razed in 1964. He and two safecrackers and a safe maker representative bored into it with torches and tools but the safe remains unopened. Newton offers to sell the battered box for 1000.
