LCEA to confront council with requests
Negotiators for 31 city office workers will confront the Lompoc City Council tomorrow night after four months of sequestered talks that have bogged down in an impasse. They seek an accord before the present employes contract expires Friday and oppose a three year offer with a 3 percent raise. The Lompoc Employes Association asks for a six percent across the board raise over two years. LCEA represents 14 positions including associate civil engineer and recreation leader. They warn the three year deal could fail to keep up with living costs and call the offer a pig in a poke. Joe Woodford of CLOCEA will speak.

Government to raise gasoline and heating fuel prices

Indictments Seen in Watergate Probe Likely Within 60 Days
