Police say a car registered to Mark Edward Daniel 19 of 524 North Third Street struck a city tree and damaged two cars before stopping on West Willow Avenue. The parked vehicles belonged to Eugene Frankhouser and Michael McVicar, both on Willow. Daniel’s car sustained major damage. drivers to be determined. Tugboat Fights Time Bomb Badger State Near Pearl Harbor
Abnaki kept two miles from the bomb laden Badger State as a salvage bid to tow the freighter. The 459 foot vessel lies in 15 to 20 foot seas with bombs and rockets aboard and 26 crew believed dead. Navy officials say a blast could occur at any time and unknown if bomb experts have boarded.
