Funeral services for Jerry Ervin Cox 85 father of a Lompoc woman were held in Seaside with burial in New Mexico. He died in a Monterey convalescent home and was World War I veteran. Survivors include five children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rosary for Emidio A Machado 76 who died in Lompoc hospital will be recited and a funeral Mass at La Purisima Catholic Church with burial at Lom poc Evergreen Cemetery. Machado a 52 year Lompoc Valley rancher born June 22 1893 in the Azores Islands is survived by his widow Marie and several children and grandchildren.

Animal Shelter officials appealed for the location of a small brown dog that bit four year old E Ruelas three days ago. The girl’s parents live at 104 East Drive and the injury was not serious but she must undergo anti rabies treatment if the dog is not found.
