LHS Female Hoopsters Travel to Cal Poly Tournament

LHP girls basketball team from Lompoc High is headed to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo for the annual tournament. The squad fields an A and a B team with returning stars Kathy Borchard, Shirley Williams, Linda Rowe, and Vera Soto plus new players. Coach Pat Malloy says the event offers a full day of activity and a chance for central coast girls to compete. Co captains for the A team are Andi Cabral and Linda Rowe. B team captains wait to be chosen.

Winners span drama to foreign language with campus faculty selecting based on leadership and character rather than need.
