Jr Alpha Club Arts Talent Show Sparks Local Display

The Jr Alpha Club hosts a student art talent show approved by the National Association of Secondary School Principals featuring Lompoc and Cabrillo High students. Local displays will be at Lompoc Library this Saturday with prizes of 50 25 and a 15 gift certificate awarded at 4 p.m.

Soroptimist Club of Lompoc Attends Leadership Seminar

Nine members of the newly charter Soroptimist Club of Lompoc joined a Saturday leadership seminar at the California Yacht Club in Marina Del Rey hosted by the Soroptimist Club of Los Angeles West. Speakers included Bonnie Estes of Santa Barbara and Ruth Jones, retired L A Sheriff Dept captain. Local members will report back Thursday at Lions Inn.

Homemaker program aids 500 in Santa Barbara County

The Community Action Commission reports 500 blind aged or disabled clients served with 300 part time homemakers since October. Training includes American Red Cross Home Nursing. supervisor Patricia Johnson leads one of seven areas.
