Remember when Glenn Lyte led a Wisconsin dance band era
Local bookkeeper and former bandleader Glenn Lyte of 416 East Lemon Street directed what was billed as the best dance band in Wisconsin and one of the most popular broadcasting orchestras. His saxophonists and trumpet players helped spawn Hit tunes including Dream a Little Dream of Me. Lyte was born Glen Lietzke in Milwaukee in 1901.
