Persian Gulf oil ministers double crude price in Tehran
Six Persian Gulf states and Iran agreed to more than double the crude price from 5.11 to 11.65 a barrel for 1974. OAPEC ministers pledged continued oil weapon use against Israel with production cuts and delivery stoppages to press for concessions. A Geneva or Vienna OPEC meeting was planned for Jan. 7 to review the Tehran decisions.
