PLO spokesman says Arab regimes slow to fund guerrillas
Kamal Nasr, chief PLO spokesman for Yasser Arafat, told reporters at the Rabat summit that Arab regimes are not generous with guerrilla funding. He said the PLO seeks about 72 million dollars a year to fight Israel but may receive 19 to 24 million, and noted they have their own ways of obtaining money. Nasr blamed U S vested interests and rejected the UN call for a negotiated settlement, stating it is their duty to liberate Jews from Zionism.

Driver killed on Highway 101 in midweek crash
A Palo Alto woman survived injuries after a crash on Highway 101 north of Gaviota Tunnel that killed her male companion Willie Dee Felton Jr. The CHP said Felton lost control, ejected into a creek, as Kinney remained with the demolished car.
