Probation Hearing Set for Bryant “Lefty” Bryant in Isla Vista Case
Bryant, 26, a Santa Barbara black militant, faces a probation hearing Thursday at 9 am before Superior Judge John T. Richard. He was arrested in Denver with two Santa Barbara area girls after extradition waiver. a 1970 Isla Vista verdict found him guilty of possessing eight firebombs. Santa Barbara man acquitted in sexual perversion case
Clarence Goodman, 33, a Santa Barbara financial consultant, was acquitted in Superior Court on charges of sexual perversion involving a UC Santa Barbara coed. Judge John T. Rickard ruled the victim’s descriptions did not fit the defendant, despite a knife threat and a cap disguise during the Dec. incident in Isla Vista. Goodman had been free on bail after the victim later identified him from a passing car.

Commission sets Feb 15 for Honey appeal hearing
