Burpee executive W Atlee Burpee III dies at 54
W Atlee Burpee III senior vice president and head of international sales for the W Atlee Burpee Company died at his Doylestown Pennsylvania home. Born August 17 1917 he began with the firm in 1938 advancing to branch manager roles before joining the Philadelphia headquarters circa 1955. He was active in seed associations and the Boy Scout program and is survived by his wife five daughters a son and two sisters. Services in Doylestown Tuesday at 10 30 am with burial at Bryn Mawr and donations to the Cancer Foundation in his memory.
