Senate Keeps Space Shuttle Funds Amid $17.7 Billion Bill

Senate votes 50 to 26 to kill a motion to cut $110 million for space shuttle development as part of a $17.7 billion NASA appropriation for fiscal 1971. Rogers says North Vietnamese show no interest in negotiated peace

Secretary of State William P. Rogers testified before the Senate that North Vietnam had absolutely zero interest in negotiations.
