AARP Meeting To Hear Welfare Aid Talk

AARP local chapter will host Joe Wiley Northern County Division Chief for Adult Services California State Welfare Department to discuss welfare aid for the elderly. A question and answer session follows the 1 30 p m Thursday August 19 at the Veterans Memorial Building. The chapter plans its First Annual Chapter Picnic on August 28 with a buffet lunch and entertainment.

Long-time friends visit Larsen family in 1930s era circle

Guests at Clyde and wife’s home on North Third Street included Kenneth Crow and his wife from Madera California and Robert Mowers and his wife from Merced California. The trio has been close since 1932 when they lived in Boulder Creek. Crow recently retired as Oberti Olive Company accountant and Mowers works as a psychologist for Merced County Schools. Steve Larsen also attended the dinner Tuesday evening.

Miss Berardi to Wed Robert Russell Jr in November
