Atterdag College A dream of education now extinct
The Danish American community of Solvang founded Atterdag College in 1911 as a folk school linked to the town’s growth. It began in a two story frame building, moved to a four story structure in 1914, and served as spiritual and educational center until its decline and closure by 1951 after long teaching years under Nordentoft and later Kristensen and Tarnow.
