Gophers, Garden Woes, and A New Arrival
A lighthearted diary recalls gophers munching beans and chard while a gardener and Old Bogey battle ivy and overgrown shrubs. The entry ends with the birth of Anthony Donald Frey, six pounds nine and a half ounces, July 25 at Marian Hospital, Santa Maria, to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Strouble of Montoursville, Pa. Anthony has a big brother Paul, 3.5, and paternal grandparents Frank E. Frey Sr. and wife visiting Lompoch, Pa.
