Valley bus service urged to continue for seniors and disabled
Shirley Denny of the Community Action Commission Center urged the Solvang District SMID board to reinstate funding to keep the Santa Ynez Valley bus serving the Solvang Senior Citizens Center and valley residents. The center has operated two years offering about 900 rides monthly to around 110 people, with County emergency funding of 5,000 dollars providing a brief reprieve. The board indicated further discussion, while Valley Taxi proposed longer hours and more days.
