Mrs Edwin Seiffert’s freighter voyage to Japan ends in Osaka Bay

Mrs. Edwin R. Seiffert of 609 North Larkspur sailed June 27 aboard the Washington Bear freighter with 50 crew and 11 passengers. She visited Yokohama Kobe and Tokyo, enjoyed the shipboard life, learned phrases in Japanese, and plans volunteer work at Mental Health Day Care Center after returning to California.

Lompoc Class Reunion Debates Baldest Man Award

Fifteen years after graduation none would accept the baldest man title at the Lompoc High School class reunion dinner dance in the Valley Club. Joe Cass of Houston won for traveling farthest. Ray Navarro won greatest number of children. Attendees included 33 from the class of 69 with many out of town guests and local Lompoc residents.

Fund-raisers Planned by Lompoc Group for Hearing Impaired

The Lompoc Organization for the Hearing Impaired announces two September fund-raisers a household goods sale and a bake sale led by George Sherwood and Hugh Daltrey.
