Lull yields fewest unit battles in year in Vietnam
In Saigon the lull last week brought the smallest number of small unit battles this year as Allied forces reported 245 enemy KIA. The pause continued with slightly higher enemy contact and new policy to limit announcing offensives amid Paris talks. Four Americans died and 20 wounded in recent clashes, with losses including an aircraft and a helicopter.
