Santa Ynez Indian Reservation plans redevelopment designation
The Santa Ynez and Southern California Indian Reservations work on a development plan to seek federal designation as a redevelopment area. The 87 acre Santa Ynez site near Santa Ynez town plans rehabilitating 11 homes and building one new house for 16 families. Chairman George Armenta asked county supervisors to endorse the project under the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 to stimulate local economic growth.
