Porter Contract Clash Sparks ABA Bulls Meeting

Officials of the Pittsburgh Condors will meet Chicago Bulls on Wednesday to resolve Howard Porter contract dispute. Porter, an All American from Villanova, denies signing with the Condors and says he joined the Bulls in the NBA last week. The case centers on whether Porter signed an ABA contract or a personal services agreement assigned to Haven Industries.

Blue Impresses Orioles In No-Hitter Bid

Vida Blue, Oakland’s 21 year old sensation, beat the Orioles 1-0 on a four hitter to run to 5-1 this season and 7-1 since last September. He carried a string of no hitter to six frames before Don Buford’s sixth inning single. Attendance was a disappointing 6,988 as Oakland clung to lead in AL West.

Cougars Reach Settlement Over McDaniels Rights
