Happiness Is sermon by Rev. Denton at First Christian

The First Christian Church invites worship at 11 a.m. with Sunday School at 9 45 a.m. on April 26. The sermon topic is Happiness Is based on Matthew 7 7 12. Calvary Baptist teen ministry aids migrant camp outreach

Calvary Baptist Church reports 13 high school youths joined a three day ministry at migrant camps in San Joaquin Valley. Under Youth Pastor Fred Niegocki and Superintendent Hal Raw, about 100 children received games Bible classes and a Saturday night rally. The group plans more outreach as they return energized. Representatives attend the Northern California Baptist Conference in San Jose with pulpit exchanges planned alongside Grace Baptist Santa Maria and Hanford pastors.

Old Time Worship for Southern Baptists at First Baptist Church

The First Southern Baptist Church will observe old time worship this Sunday by changing clocks to daylight time after the morning service, keeping evening services on new time. Morning service is 11:00 a.m. old time and 7:00 p.m. new time. The pastor Dr. W B Timberlake explains the practice aims to avoid penalties when the time changes. Public invited to all services including Bible study at 9:30 a.m. Training Union at 5:45 p.m. and new member orientation in the pastor's study.
