John Lyons, a Notre Dame senior from Berwyn, Pa, and a St. Mary’s freshman known as Peggy set an American kissing record of 612 hours in a marathon contest among six couples in South Bend Indiana. They did not beat the world record of eight hours and 45 minutes and received a wood carved trophy.
