Solvang Retailers urge immediate short term parking solution
Solvang SBA and SMID form a joint two by two parking study committee. Retailers vote to push the SBA to act on a short term parking plan and to add Wes Fisher to the study group. The group plans to report at the SMID meeting on April 28 and asks merchants to avoid street parking during business hours. A sidewalk and lot cleaning program was restarted with a new operator. Financing may rely on a possible annual tax levy and continued voluntary contributions funded the effort for two more weeks.
