City to require disclosure of interest by officials

City agencies and boards must adopt a conflict of interest code under the Fair Political Practices Act. Each department head will determine which staff file disclosure forms, with reports due by July 9, and consults with the city attorney for any questions. The code mirrors existing reporting rules and uses model provisions adapted for Lompoc. Agencies affected include administrator and attorney offices, clerk, treasurer, public works, police, fire, library, planning, parks, water, aging commissions, and related boards.
