Cans Drive At Vandenberg Jr High Supports New Mexico Boy
Vandenberg Junior High students continue collecting discarded cans with proceeds aiding a young American Indian boy in New Mexico. Receptacles reused from last fall for the Big Brother program are part of a school project due May 20. Last weekend 27 pounds of aluminum cans and 114 pounds of garbage were collected. The group notes fewer people drink from aluminum cans and many cans are tin. They seek more aluminum contributions and thank past donors for support.

Commission approves beer sales at Cachuma
