Turnpike reconstruction backed by board of Supervisors
The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to back a million dollar Turnpike Rd interchange reconstruction at U.S. 101. The project would widen the area to four lanes and add bike and pedestrian paths near San Marcos High School, with environmental review sought by several groups and opposition from some homeowners and local chambers. Road bids could be sought soon to avoid funding delays.
