Elders sue for damages in Georgia case
L F Zundell of Utah and B F Stewart of Arizona two Mormon elders filed suit in the United States district court of Georgia against Hart and Franklin County citizens. They allege they were beaten at night in Bowersville Hart County while staying with O T Shirley. About 39 defendants named, case set for Athens April term.

About 400 attendees witnessed a lively program at the Agricultural College on March 8 with music by the college band and performances by Misses Shettler and Nibley and Mr. Smith. Seventh ward residents seek new school in Luzon area
Logan school board met Friday to set May 23 for closing exercises at Luzon tabernacle. Residents of the upper Seventh ward petitioned for a new schoolhouse, stating children must walk far. The request was referred to the committee for action.

London reports General lord Methuen and four guns were captured by General Delarey’s Boers. Lord Kitchener staggered British losses as two officers and thirty-eight men killed, thirty-eight wounded, five officers and seventy-two men wounded, plus one officer and 200 men missing.
