Funeral Service for Sister Ann Shaw in Hyrum Ward
March 9 report from Hyrum states Sister Ann Shaw died and her funeral was held March 7 at the Hyrum meeting house. Her sons carried the casket as the church filled to capacity. Addresses by President Thoreson and W C Parkinson highlighted 32 years of faithful service in the ward. Born February 4 1838 in Walsall England she emigrated to Utah in 1865 and endured the plains with an infant on the journey surviving the loss of a child along the way.
