Employment will rise next week on two Hocking County highway projects as bricklaying begins at Rockbridge and concrete road base work starts at Enterprise. Emma Brown Wilson fifty one, formerly of Logan, died in a ranch house blaze near Los Angeles, authorities said. Her aunt Mrs. Emma Oliver, who reported the tragedy, noted no details were available. Veterans head to West Virginia meeting on rail trip
About 15 Logan C and O railroad workers plus wives boarded a 12 car special to attend the 26th annual veterans association meeting in Ronceverte W Va with over 3 000 veterans expected. Local veterans with over 25 years service joined the voyage along with others from the Athens and Pomeroy sub divisions and the Columbus group. Pullman cars 39 40 and 41 carried all attendees as Frank Courter led Car 39 and W L Roller led Car 41.
