A 33-year-old fisherman reported missing after a high wave swept western Lake Erie beaches last Friday admitted he skipped home to fish in Pittsburgh. He returned home last night and said two fishermen persuaded him to join them for angling.

A 17 year old girl and a 23 year old married salesman were taken into custody for alleged kidnapping in Wichita Kansas. Arthur Deets Jr of Kingston Pennsylvania is named as the salesman and Mary Kalinoski of York Pennsylvania as the teen bride who had wed less than two months earlier. The pair reportedly ran away May 28 before the girl’s high school graduation and were arrested yesterday. Kalinoski later filed the kidnapping charge at York accusing Deets and another man of marriage in a secret ceremony on April 15.

Beverly Hills California June 7. Charles Warren Nash 84 died at his home after a long illness. Nash rose from an orphan farm boy to president of General Motors and later led the Nash Motor Company until about six months ago remaining active in its affairs.

Edwin Lincoln Moseley, 83, a Bowling Green State University biology professor emeritus, died yesterday. He based long-range forecasts on a 90.4 year cycle and used tree-ring data from about 300 trees to verify drought and wet periods. His work spanned Western Pennsylvania to eastern Kansas with forecasts he described as reasonably accurate.
