Splash Party Opens Logan Pool Season With End Of Term

The Splash Party, from 7 to 10 30 p.m. Friday at the Logan pool, marks the end of the 1976 77 school term and start of summer vacation. Admission is 50 cents. Music will be provided. Tickets for the 1977 season go on sale 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, with the pool reopening for the summer season.

Viking Probe Ends with Uncertain Life on Mars Result

NASA scientists conclude the Viking mission has failed to find definite signs of life after testing Martian soil samples. Viking 1 and 2 landed in 1976 and conducted experiments until the probes ran out of nutrients and helium.
