County Hocking Jr Fair seeks aid for new building
Hocking County commissioners were asked to fund a new junior fair building by a group including the 4 H Advisory Council Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. The fund has 3584 70 in the bank with a 1000 pledge once started. A similar 40x100 ft cement block building in Vinton County cost 16500. The group envisions a year round facility with kitchen restrooms and partitions.

Ohio Supreme Court suspended Earl W. Allison, longtime chairman of the State Board of Review, from the practice of law indefinitely after he admitted mishandling client funds. The case involved a $10,000 trust in a divorce matter for Lois Rhinehart Shelton. Restitution had been made. the court noted prior disbarment was recommended but not imposed. Henry Lutz’s steam powered auto, built in 1898 and once used by Lutz for about a decade, will go on display Friday in the lobby of the Logan Federal Savings & Loan Association at 61 N. Market St. Also shown will be a velocipede and a child’s tricycle. The exhibit continues until a permanent home is found for the collection, part of a will-directed return to Logan for the local historical society.
