A Natco owned two story brick house near Haydenville suffered 2500 to 3000 dollars in damage from a daytime fire reported at 2 pm and under control by 3 50 pm. Occupants Mrs William Rush daughter Mrs Eva Mae Bell and four year old David Bell escaped as fire started in a closet and spread to the attic. Neighbors alerted the Haydenville and Nelsonville fire departments. Most downstairs furnishings were saved though upstairs rooms lost two beds dressers and clothing. Sheriff deputy Joe Breeze attended the scene.
