Ward Chase, city auditor-elect, showed a railroad pass dated April 8 1885 issued to his late mother-in-law Mrs John Strawn. The pass came from the Columbus Hocking Valley and Toledo Railroad a predecessor of Chesapeake and Ohio. Probe reopened in death by own actions case in Kentucky
Authorities in Comverset Kentucky reopen the Horace Guffy death probe after a Cleveland factory worker Horace Warner Guffy was found hanged near here on November 30. Monroe Hawk of Somerset was jailed on a murder charge and questioned about the events leading to Guffy’s death. He said he joined a car scene with four strangers and was later struck and thrown from a car.

Steer Breaks Loose Tramples Toward Trafford After Escape
A black steer from Ohio escaped from a truck at PITCAIRN near Kline Packing Company yesterday. It charged employee John Bake, scattered schoolchildren, then ran six miles to Trafford and back before being shot down with a deer rifle. The chase continued as the driver tried to stop the animal and a woman fainted during the pursuit.
