Weekend area crashes injure driver and child
Four area accidents were investigated over the weekend. A four year old boy Ricky Joe Johnson was struck by a car on West Hunter Street but suffered only a bruised forehead and shock and was treated at Hocking Valley Hospital. The driver Charles H Hinzey of Grove City was not seriously hurt. 18 feet of skid marks were noted. Dale Johnson avoided injury as Ricky was struck. A 16 year old, William Congreve, crashed on Rt 33 after apparently falling asleep, suffering facial and chest injuries and possible internal injuries. he was treated at hospitals. A two car crash on Main and High streets injured Merle Stump and James Blanton, while another accident on Rt 33 near the Hocking-Fair field line involved Marjorie Acker and Betty Kinnison with guard rail damage.
