Willis Gochenour Pleads Guilty to Simple Assault in Lancaster County
Willis Gochenour of Litito pleaded guilty before Judge Charles J. Landis to simple assault and battery in Lancaster County Court. He was fined $10 and costs after originally facing aggravated assault and battery charges.

Boy Severely Burned In Gasoline Fire At Garage
Thirteen year old Robert Posey son of Dr and Mrs S R Posey was severely burned last Thursday when gasoline on his clothes ignited near a stove in the family garage. Companion Robert Getz pulled off his sweater and smothered the flames. His face and hands were painfully burned.

Second Imperial Valley Trip Described By Local Party
A party of nineteen on eight day trip to the Imperial Valley Texas enjoyed rich harvests in March as well as previous August visits. They toured Stuart Place Brownsville Matamoros St Louis Houston Galveston and studied crops and shipping along the way. Mr Pfantz and Mrs Plantz of Lititz brought back grapefruit and fruits. Robert Quillen joined from Fontaine Inn while visiting Moravian town lore with Valley resident Robert Adams. They returned home last Friday night.

Native Lititz Boy Elected Councilman In Ohio
John T F Grazer a former Lititz resident was elected councilman at Chagrin Falls Ohio by a large majority. He learned machinist trade served in the U S Army and Navy and later worked on ships between the Pacific Coast and China. He is about forty and has a wife and a big mill position in Chagrin Falls. His mother and sisters still reside here.

Youths Receive Jail Sentences and Fines
William Sheneberger and Raymond Sheneberger, youths from near Middletown and Millersville, stole cars for joy rides and are said to have robbed gasoline stations. Judge Groff sentenced William to two years and $100 fine, Raymond to one year and $100. A Hudson sedan stolen from Frank Gable of Lititz was found in Millport. the other car was destroyed by fire.
