Grickerville Boy Charged With Stealing Bicycle
A Grickerville youth faces charges after a bicycle was stolen last week from West Main street in Ephrata in front of the Central Theatre. The bike belonged to a son of Peter H. Doremus of the borough. Herman Dissinger of Brickerville was arrested as a suspect and jailed. The bicycle was later recovered from a pigsty at Dissinger's home.

Three Accidents In Three Days
Mrs. Amos Brubaker of South Broad Street was severely injured crossing Broad Street near her home when she stepped into the path of an oncoming machine. Fog reduced visibility as Zimmerman driven car halted, leaving Brubaker with multiple injuries including broken arms, a deep head wound requiring stitches, and extensive shoulder damage.

Mrs Elmer Bomberger of South Broad Street teaching in Manheim township suffered severe burns Sunday evening when she emptied explosive powder from a coal bucket into the stove. The blast hurled the bucket and lids, singed her eyebrows and hair, and mangled her right hand. She walked to Dr Posey’s office for treatment.

Boy 12 Injured in East Main Street Horse Collision
Monroe Shue Jr., 12, was riding a horse on East Main Street Tuesday evening when the horse bolted and collided with a car driven by John Meiley of Brickerville. The boy suffered a broken leg and other injuries, was hospitalized, and the horse was shot to ease its suffering. The car was badly wrecked but its driver escaped injury.
