Scare at knitting mill ends with girl collapsing
Esther Irvin fifteen of Brunnerville fell ill while working at Keystone Knitting Mill on Friday. Brought to General Hospital Lancaster the doctor diagnosed grip after she admitted taking iodine earlier. She later claimed no memory of the events. she continued working during her illness.

Former Lititz Residents Celebrate Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary
Mr and Mrs John Souders celebrated their fiftieth anniversary at home in Kunhein. They were married in Lancaster by Rev Jacob Reinhold. Mrs Souders was Annie Eckert from Hibdale near Lititz and Mr Souders hailed from Douderville. They kept house at Stevens where he ran a blacksmith shop for eighteen years and later lived in Lititz. Guests from Lititz included Mr and Mrs Clayton Mundorf and children Mr and Mrs Henry Eckert and Mrs Lizzie Stark.

Nine hundred twenty seven sales were made at the Warwick House on Saturday amid an unusually large crowd. Forty eight cows topped the turnout with the high at 1645 and 151 and 128 dollars. Other items included wigs ducks chickens bantams guineas pota toes and fruit plus household goods and stoves. The Lititz fire company won fifty dollars for distance at Palmyra fremen parade with ten companies in line and prizes awarded for best appearing company and largest group.

Fire sprinklers save Mack man and Harnley factory
A spark from shavings ignited a fire in the boiler area at Mack man and Harnley’s furniture factory. The automatic sprinkler system, recently connected, flooded and controlled the blaze before the water was even turned on. The building gain would be fully protected once the device is completed and linked to the borough main. He traveled with Clem Bitzer and Constable Harry McCarthy to Showhegan and back by train and auto two days later with the thief named Cote. Also reported are three Lancaster County Farm Sales Agency turnovers including farms near Lititz Rothsville and Millersville with private terms and April possession, plus Teal Chocolate officials visiting the Lancaster factory and touring the plant.

A fight involving Harry Habecker of Ephrata and Clayton Christ of Akron sparked arrests and counter arrests. Habecker injured Christ then fled to the chocolate factory and was jailed after a night in the lockup. Julius Sturgis pressed charges against Paul Zook, who aided in a later disturbance. Two cases set for Saturday before Squire Schnerer.
