Miracle Escape After Pierce Arrow Crash in Lancaster
Raymond Evans and three companions from Lancaster escaped serious injury when the Pierce Arrow auto left the road near Talmage and Mechanicsburg, struck a concrete culvert, turned over in a wheat field, and wrecked beyond repair. Evans suffered a dislocated shoulder and wrist cut. one companion lost a tooth and a bruised eye while the others had minor injuries. A roadster brought the party to Leola and then Lancaster by trolley. the wreckage drew many spectators on Cedar Street.
