Memorial Day Observed in Lititz with Honor Flag Unfurling
Veterans and residents will honor fallen soldiers in Lititz with a 1 PM gathering at Stevens Post headquarters and a parade to Kissel Hill. Celebrated Twenty Fifth Anniversary of Sunshine Circle King’s Daughters
The Sunshine Circle of King’s Daughters marked its 25th anniversary with a Saturday social at the Moravian Sunday-school chapel attended by about forty members. The event featured duets, a solo, an address by Miss Martha Derr, and a history reading by Mrs. William Zellers, with refreshments and purple and white decorations. The circle began May 19, 1893, with eight founding members, now has 65, and uses proceeds for flowers for the sick and aid for the needy. An upcoming Memorial Day program at Linden Hall gymnasium will raise funds for the Linden Hall Liberty Band, with tickets 25 and 30 cents adults, 16 cents children.
