Colored Man Hit by Train Near Depot
Elijah Gilmore a 57 year old Lime Rock quarry worker was struck by an excursion train at 12 25 Sunday near the depot. He sat on the track was seen at Longebecker’s restaurant shortly before and transported to S Joseph Hospital where he remains with back injuries no bones broken. Leesport Berks County is his home.

Six injured in two car crash near Brickerville
Early Friday night six people were hurt when two cars collided at the Lebanon Pumping Station three miles from Brickerville. Joseph Gaus suffered a skull fracture and is in critical condition at Lancaster General Hospital but showing improvement. Harry Shank and others sustained facial cuts and bruises. Elmer and Schreiner Shreiner and Harry Matthews also received minor injuries. Both cars were wrecked beyond repair.

Edwin Sturgis attended the sixty first annual reunion of the 122nd Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers held Friday morning at the Y M C A in Lancaster. Out of about 1000 men who marched away in May, only 82 came to the reunion. Surviving staff officer Lieut Daniel H Heishu, adjutant, could not attend. he resides with his son Herbert at Kissel Hill.

Real estate note reports William Oehme’s new home with cellar walls completed using cinder blocks and stucco. N S Myers finished the cellar for a future home north of Wayne Fahnestock’s residence and began excavations for several houses on South Broad street addition. Myers, a prolific Lititz builder, has built many houses this year and also sells building lots in Lititz and farms in Lebanon, Berks and Dauphin counties.

Mr and Mrs Henry IT Miller celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in Philadelphia with sixty five guests. Attending from Lititz were Mr and Mrs Joseph Miller and daughter Margie and son Paul, plus relatives from Lincoln and Ephrata. Henry Miller, born near Rothsville, is seventy four and learned the shoe repair business in Lititz. They have six children three grandchildren and a great grandson. The couple visited Lititz last summer and plan a July return and enjoy good health.

Lititz Man Returns Home After Hospital Stay
John Weaver left Lititz with $200 for Columbia on Saturday and arrived at a Columbia hospital that night. He was discharged Monday and returned to Lititz with a battered face and without his money. He said he jumped from a second story window while another report claims he was tossed out during an attack.
