S and S Myers sold their two year real estate operation to Mahlon Garman, who will lead the Lancaster County Farm Sales Agency at 124 East King Street with N Reiber assisting. The firm operates from Lancaster and East Main Street Lititz, and Myers plans a manufacturing venture.
Hershey Seeman Co introduces Devoe Velour Finish as a practical wall covering. A three day in store demonstration on May 24 25 26 shows the washable durable finish in Lititz and vicinity.
A fragment notes unpredictable weather on May 4 and describes a two thousand year projection of climate cooling. It reports the Industrial League baseball game held for Lititz Fire Company last Saturday, raising $30.25 with $23.60 profit after expenses and thanks from Fire Company members.

Herbert Zook formerly a Lititz printer purchased the printing establishment of Earl Spickler in Manheim. He moved into a house he bought in Manheim a few weeks earlier.
The Moravian Church Forestry Board in Nazareth planted 8 000 saplings north of Moorestown road under Albert O. Sturgis supervision. Species include red and rock oak ash and elm. A local American Legion post plans to raise at least 100000 dollars to endow perpetual care for graves of soldiers buried in French cemeteries. Contributions through Alfred Couple of Go Spot Post No 56 will be sent to National Headquarters. The fund aims to grow from a nucleus of one million francs and provide annual decorations for American heroes overseas.
A farmer reports a pig missing for weeks until his wife finds the creature in a record book. A Lititz man fails to locate a horse on a North region farm, later found grazing a mile away. Harrisburg killed tax bill. Diehm and Howell oppose new taxes. Pinchot pledges no new burdens and calls for fiscal restraint amid political bickering.
North Broad street photographer Marty FB Stoner introduces a plate drier that reduces drying time from hours to four minutes. The device enables rapid delivery of photographs, boosting business and allowing up-to-the-minute service for clients. Stoner notes strong demand since moving to Lititz and plans continued high quality service.
Robert Behmer's aeroplane arrived at Lancaster last Friday afternoon and is kept on the gunning club grounds along the Queton pike. It took thirty-five minutes to fly from Philadelphia and the owner says the craft can do better. Part of the fuselage is cut away to admit passengers. The Fire Company asks Lititz residents to decorate houses along the route for the parade on Saturday May 26. The parade forms on West Main and Spruce streets and routes through Marion Street Broad Street Front Locust Main and returns to the square.
Allen Hacker of Lititz found a Fredericksburg body with an unfinished Civil War letter from Maria Kiner to James Higer. Dated Mills Springs Tennessee February 8 1865 the missive urges reunion and describes fort Donelson and Corinth as Union plans unfold, ending with a vow of love.
Miss New Era, a man, traveled to Lititz where counterfeit like bills surfaced as five dollar exchange offers. Mrs. Chester Ritchie, wary, kept a bill handed during a candy shop purchase as the suspect watched surroundings. The man, seen at the Springs Hotel with Earl Erb, then passed the bill to C. C. Grim who found the lucky number.
The Barrett Company lays the oil contract as Tarvia, led by Louis Deppner of Philadelphia, directs main street repairs. Deppner, known locally as Tarvia or Mr Tarvia, has worked here six years and would prefer country living in Lititz if winters were milder.
Clayton Keath traveled to Baltimore with his auto truck to fetch three heavy timber pieces for B. F. Grosh's new barn at Rome. The 12 foot long timbers weighed 2600 pounds in total. The trip took three and a half hours there and five hours back with no mishaps.
Phares Miller, a tenant farmer on B. F. Grozh's Rome farm, was kicked on the face while clipping mules last Thursday. The kick fractured his jaw and required extraction of several teeth by a dentist in addition to a regular physician. He suffered great pain.
Mrs. Virginia Brown, associated with Mr. and 2 Louis Traines, was taken to General Hospital this week after contracting pneumonia.
