Desert Journey Ends as Yaqui Rides Home Across Desert

In a sunlit desert day on Forlorn River the Yaqui Yaqui rider Yiânqui rides away toward the river and desert horizon after securing the silver and debt payment. Mercedes Nash and Gale watch the lone figure depart while Nell and Dick seek comfort in each other. The group reflects on fate, love, and the vast solitary landscape. The scene closes with Mercedes weeping, Gale kissing her tears, and the desert’s beauty and danger lingering as the Yaqui seeks solitude back to his gods.
